We love hosting and planning dinners that support our local food economy! All dinners put on by Jonesborough Locally Grown feature locally grown food and products created and sold right here in our region. We host two different types of dinners/events outside of our Farm to Table Dinner: 100 Mile Dinners and Burger Nights at Boone Street Market.

Burger Nights

  • Third Thursday of the month

  • 5:30 to 7:30 pm

  • May to September - check this page for more details

  • Hosted at Boone Street Market and cooked by our staff using as many local ingredients as possible

  • Open to the public!

100 Mile Dinners

  • Seasonal - one to two times per year

  • Hosted by a community farm, venue, or restaurant to feature community partners

  • Cooked by a local chef to showcase our region’s food industry leaders

  • Incorporates as many local ingredients as possible

All proceeds from dinners hosted by Jonesborough Locally Grown

go directly to support our mission and operations at Jonesborough Farmers Market and Boone Street Market.


Fall 100 Mile Dinner

Friday, October 24th at 6:30pm

Jonesborough Locally Grown is delighted to announce the return of our Fall 100-Mile Dinner! Located at Blackthorn Club at The Ridges in Jonesborough, this meal will be designed and prepared by Chef James Allen.

Like the larger Farm to Table Dinner in August, this 100 Mile Dinner will showcase and celebrate local food and farmers. The dinner is a fundraiser supporting our mission to connect farmers, food, and the community through Jonesborough Farmers Market and Boone Street Market.

Tickets are $75 per person (non-refundable) and include all food, non-alcoholic beverages, and one drink ticket. The dinner will feature station-style service. A charge bar will also be available. The dinner will be outside on a covered patio, two sides are enclosed and there are plenty of heaters  but we encourage guests to dress appropriately for the weather.

The menu:

Pimento Cheese Croquettes with Roasted Red Pepper Cream

Collard Green Dolmas: Seasoned Ground Lamb, Herbs and Carolina Gold Rice rolled into Fresh Collard Greens topped with a  Smoked Tomato Coulis and Chive Crème Fraiche

Heritage Pork Belly with Apple Butter Glaze: Crispy Pork Belly finished with a reduction of local apple butter and cider, served over a Savory Sourdough Bread Pudding along with a Fresh Local Vegetable Medley

Spiced Pumpkin Cheesecake with Sorghum Whipped Cream

The chef:

James Allen is the Executive Chef of the Blackthorn Club at The Ridges in Jonesborough. He completed the program at Le Cordon Bleu, and in 2022 was named one of the Club + Resort Chefs of the Year. Allen’s menus embrace a from-scratch philosophy, highlighting local ingredients through creative specials while honoring timeless classics.
