Tickets for this year’s dinner are sold out after being released to Jonesborough Locally Grown members! Thank you to everyone for the overwhelming support!

We are planning a 100 Mile Dinner (basically a smaller Farm to Table Dinner) in October. Details will be released soon.

Taking place on Saturday, August 19th at 6:30 pm, the dinner will feature all local ingredients for the dinner of 200+ guests.

Special thanks to Chef Alex and Breelyn Bomba of Main Street Catering for designing and preparing the meal - and of course helping organize the dinner!

Tickets will go on sale in late May/early June to special groups, including Jonesborough Locally Grown members. If there are any tickets left, they will go on sale to the public on June 19th. Sign up for our newsletter to keep updated! We will have a waiting list as there may be some tickets come available in the few weeks before the dinner.

Tickets are $125 per person and are restricted to persons 21 years of age or older - alcohol will be served! As this is our largest fundraiser of the year, tickets are non-refundable.

Due to the size of this event and logistics on the day of, accommodating dietary restrictions is extremely difficult. Be forewarned that most courses may contain some animal products (like meat or eggs), dairy, and wheat - either directly or by being prepared near these items. This year’s menu is:

Welcome Appetizers: Mushroom, Red Onion and Cheddar Flatbreads; Tomato Bruschetta Crostini

Salad: Watermelon, Feta and Green Pepper Coulis

Appetizer: Bison Rago, Pomadoro Gemelli

Soup: Sweet Pepper Puree w/ Basil Foam

Main Course: Bacon-wrapped Porkloin w/ Apple Butter, Biscuit Stuffing and Braised Greens

Dessert: Strawberry Cake w/ Chamomile Cream

A storied tradition . . .

The Farm to Table Dinner came to Jonesborough in 2011, thanks to the vision of Chef Alex Bomba, Alex’s wife Breelyn, and Breelyn’s parents Herman and Beverly Jenkins (who together owned and operated Main Street Cafe and Catering).

It was their idea to bring a large farm-to-table dinner to town, staging it right at the site of the Jonesborough Farmers Market at the time. With a huge harvest table right on Main Street, using ingredients sourced from the farmers market, all proceeds were donated from the event to the farmers market. The first dinner served 100 guests and was a huge success. More tickets were added year by year, with all selling out extremely fast.

Now, the dinner serves 216 and is the largest fundraiser for Jonesborough Locally Grown, a 501(c)(3) non-profit running Jonesborough Farmers Market and Boone Street Market. The markets strive to keep vendor fees low and making sure the vendor keeps 75%+ of each dollar spent, compared to 14.5% nationally. It’s fundraisers like this that ensure we get to continue giving back as much as possible to the local food economy year after year!
